For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. RECAP: Isolation is a common booby trap Satan uses to get us off by ourselves and out of the safety of being surrounded and in fellowship with other strong Christians. Just as a lion seeks his prey to devour, the bible tell us our adversary, the devil, walks about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. Lions often attack a sick, young or struggling or isolated prey. Many of us isolate ourselves due to issues of the heart and pride. Satan uses isolation to spearate use from our real source and causes us to focus back on self.
However, God made us for relationships. The bible tells us that we can do nothing without God or each other so we must abide in him. We have to make sure we get connected and stay connected to other strong Christians in order to avoid the enemy’s booby trap of isolation. We must make sure we have relationships that are life giving relationships with other Christians. Relating to others is a spiritual activity.
In evaluating our spiritual lives we must ask the question: “How am I doing with people? How are my relationships going?”
