Lloyd was a great blessing to CORE, a faithful servant, and friend. He was open to always helping in whatever way he could. None of the CORE leaders had to ask him to do anything. He saw the need and just stepped up to the plate and did the job that needed to be done. He volunteered without being asked to be CORE’s official photographer and was at every session taking pictures. He was a leader that led by example with a servant’s heart.

We truly appreciated and loved this great man who we will sincerely miss.

Lloyd defined what it meant to be a servant. Not only as a member of CORE, but also as a friend. He truly displayed what it meant to be a Christian brother; he didn’t let convenience or gender get in the way of serving a friend or being there when needed.

At his memorial, I was deeply touched to hear others from different areas of his life speak so highly of him. Regardless of his role, the one thing that was consistent: Lloyd served and gave unselfishly to others. My life is blessed because I knew him. I will miss him dearly.
